The Seacracker-Trintella
Association is the only resource for owners of the Seacracker 33. These
fabulous boats were also moulded as the Tufglas 33, & the Trintella
IIA's depending on the intended market and who owned the mould at the
time. We also have several members who sail the delightful
Trintella 29 in the UK.
Since 1933, there
have been over 550 different Van de Stadt-designs and there are an
estimated 30,000 afloat worldwide. From this prestigious firm of naval
architects, the Seacracker was designed by E G Van de Stadt himself.
The site includes
many of original plans - scanned as A0 and perfect for reproduction and
making the Seacracker Class Association second to none in the
resources available.
Seacracker's are most often
mistaken for the ubiquitous Contessa 32 or for the classic S&S 34.
However Seacracker's are exquisite yachts and proven circumnavigators
with an individual flair. Several Seacracker's have circumnavigated
(Mabena went round twice), and many have travelled to South Africa and
New Zealand. Whether in Liverpool or Essex, Seacracker's have always
done well in club racing.
There are lots of photographs & several articles - with the fascinating log of
Badger a Seacracker 31, as she sails from the South Coast of the UK to
the Baltic - a 2,000 mile journey undertaken in 2000.
